Good job! I like the discussion on “academic and content specific vocabulary” and the connection of using data in real life situation to enhance the essential understandings. I love having the Team Captain to lead the group on using blog to expand the understanding of the mathematical concept. This would be great opportunity to use Google Form for authentic data collection and creating a frequency table, graph, or chart (very much similar to the spreadsheet) and some screen-capturing tools for demonstrating their understanding of using data to represent frequency (such as ShowMe and Educreations). The two can be easily combined with the blogger activity and will enhance the use of technology as cognitive tools to solve problems.
I would also like to see the assessment rubric for this unit. :)
